More doctor visits

We have a few more visits to the doctor over the next couple of weeks. This Thursday we go to the geneticist. She is a doctor with whom we consulted prior to accepting Noah's referral. We went to her initially to determine if there were any underlying syndromes linking congenital heart disease and malorotation of the intestine. There is not. However, she would like to see him and do some genetic blood work. This will prove helpful as we have no birth family history for Noah.

The next visit will be a follow-up with the gastroenterologist next week. I don't anticipate a need for any more visits with him after this one.

In two weeks we will see a neurosurgeon at Children's Medical Center of Dallas to evaluate Noah's anterior fontanelle. (Some of you may know it as a baby's "soft spot.") It has not closed yet and our pediatrician as suggested we have it looked at by a specialist. This could be yet another symptom of malnutrition. We are very pleased that we were able to get in to this highly recommended practice so soon. There was a cancelation and God led me to call at the right time to secure this appointment.  We will update you with the results as they come.
