Getting Ready to Go!

We received our Consulate Appointment on May 27! It has been a mad rush to get ready to travel as we are leaving on Wednesday, June 4!

It's hard to believe that in just a few short days we will be in China. Our bags are almost packed. If you asked me what I 've been doing the past few days to prepare for this trip I'm not sure I could tell you. It literally has been a crazy flurry of errands, lists, washing clothes, and tying up loose ends. Yet in the midst of it all God continues to make His presence known. His blessings overwhelm us and our hearts are full.

Approved to Travel

Wow! This is getting more real by the moment. We received travel approval today. Once we receive our appointment date at the US Consulate in China we will be able to book our flights.

"So long status quo. I think I've just let go ..."

Our journey began over a year ago with a sense that God was asking us if we would be willing to look into international adoption. It is with much prayer, unhealthy bouts of worry and fear, a continual realization that what is “ours” actually is God’s (I think we’ve much to learn here), a lot of questioning and tons of paper work, we find ourselves with a firm belief that this is God’s desire and are anxiously awaiting travel approval from the Chinese Government to go pick up our son. What a difference a year makes.
