Happy Birthday, Noah!

Today was Noah's third birthday. Three years ago on or about this date a Chinese woman gave birth to a tiny little boy only to make the gut-wrenching decision to allow him to be cared for by someone else. We will never know the circumstances surrounding Noah's abandonment but I'll bet Noah's birth mother thought today of the precious little boy she gave up for adoption. I pray God gives her His peace that passes all understanding and that she comes to know Him if she does not already.

Noah had a small birthday celebration with his friend Piper on Sunday. They had ice cream sundaes and played in the backyard. Today we sang "Happy Birthday" to Noah at every meal (he insisted upon it!) He blew out the candle in his blueberry pancake at breakfast, his fried rice at lunch and his spaghetti at dinner. I wonder if he'll ask for more "happy birth..." and a candle tomorrow!

Pictures to come soon ...

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, NOAH!!! It sounds like Noah thoroughly enjoyed all of his special meals and the "Happy Birthday" singing ~ that's so cute!
