He had a good day at church with his nursery friends. After his nap we went swimming and then had dinner with some family friends. He handled each transition well (i.e. without pinching or screaming) and asked for me ("mama") when he needed a little extra security or comfort. Hooray!
In the summer of 2008 we adopted into our family two year old Sheng Heng from South China. Several of you have asked, “Aren’t you going to create a blog so we can ‘travel’ with you?” Well, here it is! The Lord has blessed us as we begin this journey. We hope that you will find it a blessing too.

A First
Noah had a first yesterday. He sat on my lap for about 15 minutes at Claire's soccer game. This is a big step! Previously, he would pinch and squirm to get away. I was amazed that he let me hold him and that he was happy about it! He had just finished a snack so he had a full tummy. Also, he loved clapping for the team. Mark and I are always yelling and cheering and Noah got caught up in all the excitement.
